Inspired by the concept of a Petri dish—a vessel for cultivating cells and fostering growth—PETRI is an interior design showspace that nurtures creativity and material innovation. Just as cells evolve and interact within a laboratory, this showroom serves as a dynamic incubator where designers and clients can experiment with a myriad of materials, explore new possibilities, and cultivate design concepts.

The layout is curated to foster discovery, with a sequence of zones that invite visitors on a sensorial journey through diverse materials. Each zone is designed as an immersive micro-environment, allowing designers and clients to engage with materials in real-world applications. Carefully orchestrated lighting, sculptural partitions, and strategic sightlines enhance the spatial experience, ensuring that each material is highlighted in its purest form.

At the heart of PETRI is its vast and ever-evolving selection of materials—ranging from organic textures such as reclaimed wood and natural stone to cutting-edge composites and sustainable innovations. The showroom incorporates an interactive material library where visitors can compare surface finishes, test durability, and experience the tactile qualities of each element. Modular display systems allow for frequent reconfiguration, ensuring that the showroom remains a living archive of contemporary and future design possibilities.

Beyond aesthetics, PETRI emphasizes the importance of sustainability and responsible sourcing. Many of the materials on display prioritize recyclability, low-impact manufacturing, and environmental resilience. The showroom itself is designed with adaptive reuse principles, incorporating energy-efficient lighting, low-VOC finishes, and modular components that minimize waste.
